With Sympathy Flowers
Hi all,
Today’s post features a sympathy card I created using the Simon Says Stamp February 2014 card kit. I love the papers in this kit because you can get all sorts of very different looks, from bright and cheerful, to more pretty and elegant.

As soon as I saw that patterned paper in the kit I knew I wanted to create a sympathy card with it. I just loved how pretty and subtle the colors and patterns are, perfect for a sympathy card.

I stamped the stem and leaves with Memento Bamboo Leaves. I then stamped the cluster of flowers onto the same patterned paper and fuzzy cut them out. A bit tedious to do, but totally worth it. I had these tiny white pearls in my stash and they turned out to be the perfect size for the centers of these flowers. For the sentiment I went outside of the kit, and used Gina K. Designs Stippled Nature stamp set. It has great images and nice sized sentiments like this one.

For the borders I used the Dainty Lace Border from My Favorite Things and used another paper from the kit.
I hope you enjoyed today’s project. Thanks so much for stopping by!
