Wise Men Christmas Card
Today I have another holiday card to share with you. What I love about holiday cards is that you can make so many different styles of cards for the same holiday season, from cute and whimsical, to elegant and fancy, to spiritual and uplifting, like I think this one is.
For this card I wanted to create a background and I found that water coloring was a quick and very effective way to create one. So I started by stamping the wise men image onto water color paper with Black Onyx ink and the star with Delicata Golden Glitz ink, then added some clear embossing powder over top and heat set it. This way I could add the water color and the embossed images would resist the coloring. I used distress inks for the water coloring.
Here you get a closer look at that panel. The images and sentiment come from an older Hero Arts set, Heavens Rejoice. For the background papers I used the Christmas Wonderland collection from Carta Bella. I also used my rectangle stitched dies to cut the panel out and matted it with white card stock.
I hope you enjoyed today’s project. Thanks so much for stopping by!
