TSG Sketch 208: Father's Day Card
I hope you are all enjoying your Memorial Day weekend. Instead of a scrapbook page, I decided to play along with this sketch from There She Goes Stamps Blog.
I decided to create a Father’s Day card using this sketch.
I used Gina K. Designs Kraft card stock for the base of the card. The patterned papers are from the February 2011 Personal Shopper Kit from Hot Off the Press. The stamp set I used is the When I Grow Up set from TSG. Such an adorable set with images both for Father and Mother’s Day. I colored the image with Prisma Color pencils. It was my first time using these coloring pencils and gamsol. I was pretty happy with the results. I then inked the white card stock with Antique Linen and Vintage Photo Distress ink so that it would match a bit better with the Kraft card stock. To create the two decorate edges on top and bottom of the focal I used Spellbinders Labels 8 dies. I cut out the blue patterned paper using the die and then just cut the die-cut piece in half and glued each half to the top and bottom of the focal image. Finally I added some twine and that was it!
I hope you enjoyed today’s project. Thanks so much for stopping by!
