Thank You Teacher
As the end of the school year approaches, it’s time to show our appreciation for those wonderful men and women who keep our children safe all day long while teaching them the many subjects that a k-12 curriculum. Here are some Thank You Teacher cards I recently made.
When making a Thank You Teacher card you can never go wrong with the classic icon of the red apple. Throughout these cards I used papers from Paper Wishes’ Busy Scrappers Solution for School Pages pack. These Busy Scrappers collections include art cut outs and alphabet tiles. While I’ve used a number of the papers from this pack, I’ve found that a lot of the art work is geared more towards the higher grades. So if you are scrapping the elementary school years you might have a better shot with their other collection for school pages, the Finished in a Flash set.
I wanted to make these cards as part of a set, but I didn’t want all of the cards to look exactly the same. So I opted to do a couple without the apple. In this card I used a sticker chalkboard image from my deep stash.
For this one I used three cut outs from the paper pack. The stamped sentiment comes from Hero Arts’ Essential Messages Stamp set. I don’t know why, but the Hero Arts acrylic stamps are really sticky. When I’m using the Staz On ink pad on them they tend to stick onto the paper. They also seem to require very juicy ink pads.
Anyway, after using a variety of supplies and taking some time to figure out what I wanted, I ended up with quite a set of four Thank you Teacher Cards.
Thanks for stopping by!
