Teacher Card

Hi all,

My daughter starts high school next week!  I can’t believe it.  So today I have a back to school themed card for you.

I recently won over at the Taylored Expressions blog one of her new stamp sets, Mischief Maker Back to School, and I used it here to create this card.  It’s a very cute set of five stamps including this great image of this little girl holding an apple for her teacher.  I’m using Dark Chocolate card stock from Gina K. Designs and the patterned paper comes from Making the Grade 6×6 pad by Little Yellow Bicycle.  Patterned paper lasts me forever and I still have some of this from last year.

Here’s a closer look at the focal image.  I stamped her with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and used my copics to color her.  I used my Lil Inker dies to cut out the stitched rectangle.  I stamped the sentiment onto the brown patterned paper and used my scissors to cut the flag end.  Finally I added the purple rhinestones to the top corner of the card and also on the bow on her hair.

I hope you enjoyed today’s project.  Thanks so much for stopping by!
