The last few days have been quite active around my house. First, I returned from a work-related conference Friday evening feeling sick. My daughter had been sick earlier in the week, so I guess the germs just hung out in my body until I was out of town. Then I got home to discover that my basement, where my craftroom is, was partially flooded! Fortunately, the craft room itself was not harmed, but the laundry room carpet was pretty squishy. In advance of the clean up crew, we took everything out of the craft room just in case they needed to get in there as well to clean anything up. But it turns out that the damage remained within the laundry room only. So I decided to use this as an opportunity to do some spring cleaning of my craft room. Hence, no Scrapbook Sunday today, but I thought I’d share with you some photos of my craft room, now all fresh and clean!
Here is a before shot of my work area. I have this ginormous table which I absolutely love. It feels like a command center when I sit on my chair. Here it is with pretty much everything off the surface.
In this area I typically have my shelves where I store my paper and this bookshelf where I store lots of other goodies. That Charlie Brown was drawn by my 12 year old daughter in school. It was a Christmas present for me. She knows just how much I adore the Peanuts gang.
After scrubbing, dusting, and vacuuming, I started returning everything to its place. Here is the desk area with the bulk of things back in place. You can see my little photo box where I take most of my card photos. Inside that hutch I keep some of my collection of stamps, embossing folders, dies, and copics. Those different drawer sets is where I store my inks, ribbons, punches, and all sorts of other goodies. That box on top of the white drawers holds all my 6×6 and 8×8 paper pads. I really don’t have a lot compared to lots of other crafters.
There you can see how I store my 12×12 papers. Those shelves are awesome for storing paper. The bookshelf stores all my albums and collection of magazines and books. On top of my file cabinet I have my storage containers with my finished cards all packed up and ready to ship. Each container holds cards for different occasions.
Finally coming around to the other side of my desk, here is where I keep my two paper trimmers. Peeking next to those set of drawers, are two additional baskets that hold the rest of my collection of clear stamps.
I hope you enjoyed this tour of my craft space. I’ll be back this week with more crafty projects for you. Thanks so much for stopping by!
