So Sorry Sympathy Card
Today I decided to share a sympathy card. They are not typically the most fun cards to make due to the occasion they are for, but they can still be quite beautiful. This card features different shades of purple, which I find to be an appropriately soothing color for this kind of more sombre occasion.
For this card the key area is the focal image, for which I used Gina K. Designs Various Versesstamp set. I stamped the image first in the darker purple and then shifted the stamp a bit and re-stamped in the lighter ink color. I used Spelbinders Nestabilities dies to cut the image and the scalloped oval mat as well. Finally I added some older ribbon for some added texture. Easy, simple, and effective.
Here’s a closer look at the stamped focal image. I hope you enjoyed today’s project. Thanks for stopping by!
