For today’s page I’m using this week’s Let’s Scrap sketch and surprising I decided to use the right side instead of my usual left side. It fit better with the photos I wanted to use of my daughter with our dog Shelby. I know it seems kind of odd to be talking about snow in July, but trust me, with the humidity we’re experiencing today, I welcome the reminder of cooler days past.
We had so much snow this last winter that I’m finding myself with more than the usual number of wintry photos. I love these photos of my two “kids” playing in all the white stuff. The background paper is from Paper Wishes Personal Shopper Kit for June 2009. Clearly digging into my stash on this one. This collection includes all the tags that you see on the page, making it very easy to embellish. The little snow flakes on the tags are from the Winter Scrapbooking Dazzles. On the center area along the right side column I stamped the snow flake with blue ink and added the snowflake brad buddy with a silver brad on top to add some dimension.
One of my favorite parts of this page is the title. I just discovered the star dust pens by Sakora. They make it so easy to add glitter to your page without the mess. I used the pen to add a frosty look around the letters. I cut the letters using my Silhouette SD.
Finally, the two ribbons added to the frosty look I was going for on this page. I’ll be going on vacation this weekend and will be gone for two glorious weeks! I’ll share all about it when I return. In the meantime, enjoy the rest of your July.
Thanks for stopping by!
