Scrapbook Sunday: Working With Daddy
Happy Mother’s Day!
I thought about taking this Mother’s Day Sunday off from Scrapbook Sunday, but then again, what better way to spend Mother’s Day than scrapbooking! So here’s today’s page, featuring adorable photos of my daughter when she was 4 years old at Daddy’s job.
I combined black and white and color photos for this page and I really like the combo. I kept it pretty simple using this beautiful paper from Busy Scrapper’s Solution Vintage Papers by Hot Off the Press. For card stock I used Gina K. Design’s Cranberry Tart card stock. It matched the patterned paper perfectly.
For the title I used Lawn Fawn’s Jessie’s ABC’s stamp set with some Rhubarb Stalk Memento ink. I used Spellbinders Labels Eight to create the label shapes. I then inked the inside of the white label using Stormy Sky Distress Ink and a foam applicator. I added a bit of bling to finish it off.
To embellish the page I used simple techniques like this one. Just added a bit of ribbon sticking out of the photo and added a coordinating button on top. It’s simple but so effective. I added a couple of smaller buttons on the bottom of the larger photo, knotted some ribbon, and glued those on top of the buttons. Cute and simple embellishments.
I hope you enjoyed today’s project. Thanks so much for stopping by!
