Scrapbook Sunday: Soccer Girls
Another entry for my 2012 Scrapbooking album. This year I wasn’t very good at taking pictures of my daughter during her soccer games. Fortunately, the coaches did a photo shoot with the team and shared some of the photos. Here’s the page I created with these photos.
The background paper is from my stash of very old papers from Hot Off The Press. I’m not sure they even carry this anymore. But it’s basically a blue background with some textured pattern. It was the closest blue paper I had that matched their uniforms.
I turned to my Silhouette for creating embellishments for this page. I created this soccer ball using my Silhouette. The stars are from a stash of left over paper embellishments.
This title took the longest time to make. Once again I turned to my Silhouette for these. The “SOCCER” is part of a 3 soccer themed border cut file from the Silhouette store. For some reason it wouldn’t cut all the way through my card stock. So I had to go back over it with my exacto knife. A bit tedious, but I really wanted to use it for my title. The “Girls” part I also cut out using my Silhouette. I used a leftover piece of the inside outline of the soccer ball as an embellishment and added the last little star I had. Might as well use it right? I just realized I forgot to add the journaling before photographing it. I was just going to add “7th grade team” right inside the big soccer ball. Not too much journaling on this one.
I hope you enjoyed today’s project. Thanks for stopping by!
