Scrapbook Sunday: San Diego Pandas
Hi all,
After a number of Sunday’s away, I’m finally back with another Scrapbook Sunday. It felt good to return to scrapbooking after a long break. Today’s page is about our trip to the San Diego Zoo last summer. That’s where I spent my birthday last year. It was a lot of fun. This page is all about the panda exhibit. It was a long line to see the pandas, but it was worth it. They were adorable.

That pretty paper comes from the Bountiful Paper Pack from Hot Off the Press. Such a pretty pattern. I thought it might be too elegant for these photos, but it worked very well.

For the title I used a photo of the name of the sign with the name of the Panda exhibit, Panda Trek. I just used a Spellbinders die to create the two curvy ends to the photo. It’s a great and easy way to create a title. So when you go on vacation, definitely take pictures of the different signs identifying where you are.

For embellishments I turned to some oldies from my stash. These are called Brad Buddies. They are these great metal embellishments which you add to the page with the coordinating brads. I just love this little monkey with the flower in her head. I also used some flowers and additional brads to embellish the rest of the page.

Finally I added some journaling, which I decorated using a border bunch to create the scalloped border. And that heart brad, I can’t even tell you just how old it is. It’s definitely one of the oldest items from my stash, but I finally had the perfect place for it.
I hope you enjoyed today’s project. Thanks so much for stopping by!
