Scrapbook Sunday: Petting
Today’s Scrapbook Sunday features adorable photos of my daughter when she was 4 years old at some kind of fair where she was petting farm animals. I love how the page turned out, but I was frustrated that I couldn’t remember more details about this day, one reason for not waiting so long to scrapbook your photos. Still, the photos capture her in one of those great moments of wonder for a little kid.
I absolutely love these North Country papers from Hot Off the Press, perfect for outdoorsy type photos. The bright blue of her shirt just popped against the deep orange background paper.
I used all sorts of different embellishments on this page, from brads, to ribbon and jute, to buttons, and dazzle stickers like this flourish, which comes surprising from the Heritage Scrapbooking Dazzles from HOTP. The ribbon and fibers are part of my collection from Gina K. Designs.
The title was the last piece to come together. I always struggle with what to title my pages. Finally I just settled for handwriting the word Petting with a brown sharpie marker. I glammed it up by using a Spellbinders Fancy Tag. I inked the white card stock with Antique Linen distress ink to make it match the rest of the page better and added the brads.
I hope you enjoyed today’s project. Thanks so much for stopping by!
