Scrapbook Sunday: Perfect Ending
Happy Sunday Everyone!
Today’s Scrapbook Sunday features the last page of my Vacation 2011 album which I’ve been working on forever! So here it is.
This photo was taken in the hot tub of one of the hotels we stayed in for a night as we drove back from Florida to Connecticut. It was the perfect spot after a long day of being in the car.
These gorgeous papers are from Paper Wishes Lacy Papers. It’s a beautiful collection which coordinates perfectly with the Lace & Doilies Scrapbooking Dazzles, which is what I used to embellish the focal image, as you can see in this close-up. I added teal nailheads between the little hearts to coordinate with the teal in the striped paper.
For the title and journaling I used sticker tags from Cloud9 Design called Be Loved. I’ve had these stickers in my stash for ages, not sure when I would use them. They worked perfectly for this page. For the title I used Jessie’s ABC’s from Lawn Fawn. My stamping wasn’t the best. I used StazOn Black ink and the “Perfect” got a bit stuck and a bit of the ink peeled off as I pulled the block away. But then for “Ending” I tried to press harder onto the surface and it ended up smooshing the ink a bit. Oh well, I figure scrapbooking isn’t just about documenting what’s going on in the photos but also our mishaps with the process itself.
The final touches were those two bows of shimmer white ribbon on either side of the title tag and the two loops of the same ribbon beside on the journaling piece.
I hope you enjoyed today’s project! I’m delighted to be done with this album. Make sure to tune in next Sunday as I decide what the next album will be about.
Thanks for stopping by!
