Scrapbook Sunday: Making Valentines
Hi all,
It’s Scrapbook Sunday…on a Monday :). Sunday got away from me a bit and wasn’t able to finish this page. But here it is. Better late than never, right?

With Valentine’s Day approaching I thought it would be perfect to make a Valentine’s page. Here my daughter is 4 years old and making valentines for her pre-school friends. That black and white photo was in color originally, but when I printed it everything looked just too red. I think it might be time to upgrade the little photo printer I have.
Anyway, the papers come from HOTP Little Prints & Patterns Paper collection, that include a sheet of tag cut-outs, which are all the tags you see on the page.

I stamped the sentiment from a stamp set from My Mind’s Eye called My Heart Sings Joline. I used punches and dies to cut out the hearts. Those red hearts in the center are little embellishments from my stash. I’ve had those for years.

As you can see I embellished with more die-cut hearts. For the title I used a cut out label from that tag sheet and stamped using Lawn Fawn Jessie’s ABC’s and Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I love that font. I embellished with a few more smaller punched out hearts. I used the Martha Stewart Punch Heart Confetti for these little guys. For the journaling piece I used Spellbinders Labels Eight dies. My favorite part of this page is just the bright red and blue color combo.
I hope you enjoyed today’s project. Thanks for stopping by!
