Scrapbook Sunday: Happy Birthday Page
Happy Sunday Everyone!
Friday we celebrated my husband’s birthday so for today’s page I decided to scrapbook his birthday from last year.
One of my biggest challenges with my scrapbook pages is actually figuring out how to photograph them so that I can blog about them :). This time I’m trying something different, hanging the page from these two large magnetic clips. What do you think?
The background paper I’ve had in my stash literally for years. I found it in a sale bin at some papercrafting store and had to get it because it says birthday in Spanish, not something you can easily find.
For the embellishments and the big title I used some left over die-cut shapes from an old Birthday collection by Hot Off the Press called Birthday Finished in a Flash. It’s a great collection of papers, die-cuts, and all sorts of coordinating embellishments. For the journaling, I’d originally written on a piece of white card stock, but it just looked too starkly white, so I took a yellow ink pad and rubbed it onto the page. It makes it look a little textured. At least it coordinates a bit better with the rest of the page.
I hope you enjoyed today’s project. Thanks so much for stopping by!
