Scrapbook Sunday: Girl Sailor
I had so much fun with the Let’s Scrap sketch from last week I decided to use their sketch this week too. I love the results. Here’s their sketch.
Here’s my take using just the left side of the sketch.
The papers, which this photo does not do justice to, come from the Kaleidoscope Paper Pack from Hot Off the Press. This is one of their double-sided collections. Such pretty and fun patterns.
You can see the patterns and fun colors of the papers a bit better in this photo. For embellishments I turned to my stash. I found that brown flower, the big brad, and the perfect rick rack. The color matched very well with the patterned paper.
I also used scrap pieces of the same patterned paper to create this little embellished area and added this button. It was the only button in my stash that was this particular pink color. Just the one I needed. As you can see I created some circular embellishments to follow the suggestion on the sketch.
Finally for the title I used Lawn Fawn’s Jessie’s ABC’S stamp set to stamp the words onto that journaling paper and cut it out using Spellbinders dies. I never thought how useful alphabet stamps are for scrapbooking, but I have found myself using this set to create titles over and over again. I just love it.
I hope you enjoyed today’s project. Thanks so much for stopping by!
