Scrapbook Sunday: Family Tree
We survived the latest snow storm in CT. Nothing much else to do than to scrapbook of course! Here is a nostalgic look at Christmas 2004.
Of course it looks much better in person than in this photo. I took multiple shots trying to get the colors right. It looks a bit cloudy to me. Anyway, The papers come from my huge DCWV 12×12 pack of holiday papers from a while ago. The image of the tree with the presents on the corner went very well with the photo.
This is my favorite part of this page. The journaling piece comes from the collection of papers. I added the words Family Tree which I cut out using Lawn Fawn’s Cole’s ABC’s dies. It was my first time using these dies and I just love how they came out. They fit perfectly in the journaling piece.
The only bit of embellishing I added to the page was this holly. I stamped it onto white card stock and colored it in using copics. Then I cut it out and glued it onto the page.
I created my journaling piece cutting out two pieces of coordinating patterned paper. I used Lawn Fawn’s Jessie’s ABCs to stamp the word Memories with Memento Rhubarb Stalk ink and hand wrote my journaling.
I hope you enjoyed today’s project. Thanks so much for stopping by!
