Scrapbook Sunday: Dr. Seuss World
Welcome to Scrapbook Sunday. This week I have another page featuring photos from last year’s vacation. Slowly but surely I’ll finish this album.
At Universal Studios they have Dr. Seuss’ World, an area dedicated to Dr. Seuss’ most famous stories. The first book Lina read from cover to cover was Hop On Pop. She read that book a gazillion times and we never tired of hearing her reading it. So of course we had to stop and get some ice cream at the Hop On Pop Ice Cream Shop. We also got in touch with the little kid in all of us and went on some of the rides including The Cat In the Hat ride.
The patterned paper for this page comes from Paper Wishes Personal Shopper Kit from April 2011. I love their Personal Shopper kits, but I collected so much paper that I ended up cancelling my subscription. I’m dying to get back on it, but I’ve made myself promise not to do so until I’ve used up the paper that I still have.
My favorite part of the page is the title. Of course I had to borrow one from Dr. Seuss. I created it using my Silhouette cutting machine. Love to use the Silhouette to create titles. I embellished with some stickers from Sassafras that I had in my stash and some thick fuzzy rick rack.
For the journaling I found this scalloped circle journaling piece in my stash. I embellished the scallops with yellow dots which I created with a yellow sakura glitter pen.
I hope enjoyed today’s project. Thanks for stopping by!
