Scrapbook Sunday: Darling Diva
Happy Sunday everyone!
I trust you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I’ve certainly had a great long weekend, spending time with family and catching up on some rest. Today’s page we go back in time to when my daughter was 4 years old, once again. She always looked fabulous with all sorts of hats just like this one.
The papers are all from my stash of Hot Off The Press papers. The embellishments come from another set called The Tapestry Collection. This collection has beautiful papers and lots of die-cut and sticker embellishments including alpha stickers. I didn’t use any of the papers from the collection but the embellishments all worked perfectly with the papers I did use.
The title area took me quite some time to create. I got the “Darling” part down easily, but the “diva” part took a while. I wanted to create a more interesting title than just sticking the rest of the letters down straight. I used one of the die-cut labels from the collection, but it looked kind of plain by itself. I then found the two little flourishes, but just figuring out how to loop them around the label piece and glue it all down without it all coming apart took a bit of patience. The die-cut flowers on the left hand side of the title and the top corner were the final touches.
I hope you enjoyed today’s project. Thanks for stopping by!
