Scrapbook Sunday: By the Water
Today’s page takes us back to Summer of 2004. I wanted to use some of the elements from this week’s Let’s Scrap sketch, which called for 4 square photos. So I had to find an event I had four good photos of that I wanted to use together. Here’s the sketch I was working with.
I think these photos of me and my daughter when she was almost 4 years old were perfect for this layout.
I used more papers from my tag sale purchase and some old embellishments from my stash. I kept debating about whether to put something in the center of the cluster of photos or not. My eye for some reason kept going to the center wanting to see something there, so that’s where I put the title, which is simply handwritten on the blue circle. I foam taped the circle for a bit of dimension
Here’s a close up of one of those embellishments. They are decorative brads I’ve had in my stash for ever! Finally had a page to use them on.
Finally, I added some twine to the bottom of the page for texture. I don’t think I’ve used twine before on a scrapbook page. I typically use twine on cards. It was nice to use it also on a scrapbook page. More uses for my twine!
I hope you enjoyed today’s project. Thanks so much for stopping by!
