Scrapbook Sunday: Baking Queen
With the holiday’s just around the corner, I decided to skip ahead on my scrapbooking and do some holiday pages from last year’s Christmas season. This page is all about our baking tradition. I’m once again playing along with the Let’s Scrap sketch.
As usual, I followed the left side of the sketch.
The background paper comes from an older DCWV 12×12 stack. It comes with the scalloped edge design, the holly image on the corner, and the twine edge around the whole page. I decided to switch the border of photos from the left side as it is on the sektch to the right side, since she’s facing in that direction in the photo.
My main embellishment on the page is this cute little scene with the fireplace with the milk and cookies on top. These all were created using Lawn Fawn’s Cozy Christmas stamp set. I paper pieced most of the images and colored in the images with copics. I used Vintage Photo Distress ink to distress the inside of the fireplace a bit.
I kept the title pretty simple. I used Spellbinders Labels Eight to cut out the label shape and used a Memento marker to hand write the title. To mimic the twine on the background paper I used some Doodlebug twine in a couple of spots on the page, including the title. Finally, I added some hand journaling directly on the page, tucked in where the holly image is on the page.
I hope you enjoyed today’s project. Thanks so much for stopping by!
