Scrapbook Sunday: Baking a Cake for Daddy
Hi all,
Today’s page takes us back to 2004 with cute photos of my daughter baking a birthday cake for her Daddy.

It took me a while to figure out the layout, but I really like how it turned out. The papers come from HOTP’s Confetti Paper Pack. I used some of the last bits I had of this paper. I have just a few pieces left, which I think I’ll use to create some cards. I used Gina K. Designs Dark Chocolate card stock to mat all the different pieces. I really like how they all stand out from the background paper with the dark chocolate.

For my little cake embellishment I turned to Lawn Fawn stamps. For this one I used the Bake Me a Cake set. I typically kept my stamps just for cardmaking, but lately I’m really enjoying using them to create little embellishments for my pages. I stamped the images onto white card stock and used copics to color them in. I then cut the image out glued it onto the page.

For the title I used Jessie’s ABC’s from Lawn Fawn to stamp the letters and then I used Taylored Expression’s Banner Stacklets 1 dies to cut the title out and the mat behind it.

I also used dies to create those buttons. I used the Round Buttons dies from Memory box and threaded them with some embroidery floss. I also inked the edges of each paper button with some Memento Rich Cocoa ink.
I hope you enjoyed today’s project. Thanks so much for stopping by!
