Scrapbook Sunday: 4th of July
Hi all,
I know it’s nowhere near the 4th of July, but I’m still working on my 2012 album and have arrived to the month of July when we spent a week in San Diego.

This page took forever for some reason. I got as far as selecting the paper, matting the photos, and then I got stuck. I just kept staring and staring and staring. I had to finally leave it alone and come back to it later when I could finally figure out what else to do with it, and still I kept it pretty simple. I created the bottom border on the page cutting it out from a larger 12×12 sheet of paper from the same Happy Days Collection from Hot Off the Press.

I wanted to embellish around the photos. So for the larger photo, I used a circle punch and punched out two circles, inked them with blue ink, and tucked them behind the edge of the photo. Then I glued the buttons on top, pretty simple.

That little piece of journaling was already on my desk from another project. I used My Favorite Things Flags & Tags dies to create it and a blue sharpie to write on it. The ribbon was simply knotted on the end and glued onto the page.

For the title I combined die-cut letters from my stash, and new ones I die-cut using my Silhouette machine. The banner background was creating using Taylored Expressions Banner Stacklets 1. Finally I added the journaling piece and called it done.
I hope you enjoyed today’s project. Thanks so much for stopping by!
