Scrapbook Monday: Schwinn Baby
It’s Scrapbook Sunday on a Monday. Yeah, Sunday kind of got away from me. I got as far as finishing the page and then it was bedtime. So here it is today.
It took me a while to figure out the right combo of papers to use for this one, but I finally go it. The papers come from the Busy Scrappers Solution Vintage Papers from Hot Off the Press. You wouldn’t think vintage papers would work for this kind of page, but striped patterns can work pretty much for anything.
I wanted to bring out the yellow in her helmet so I pulled out some yellow flowers to use for some embellishments. I found a variety of purple brads in my stash in different sizes. These worked perfectly with the flowers.
For the title I used some of my very old die-cut letters from my stash. I swear those things multiply when I’m not looking. At first the title was going to be “Baby Schwinn”, but the Schwinn wouldn’t fit in that spot, so I switched it and liked it a lot better. Once I figured out what papers to use, the rest of the layout came together pretty quickly.
I hope you enjoyed today’s project. Thanks so much for stopping by!
