Scrapbook Monday: San Diego
Are you staying cool today? It’s another scorcher here in CT. I’m actually missing the cool temperatures we experienced last year around this time in San Diego during our vacation. This year we’re not making any trips this summer, so I can catch up on my vacation scrapbooking from last year :). And yes Sunday got away from me again this week, so I finished the page this morning instead. Better late than never, right?
This page came together pretty quickly thanks to that color blocked paper from Hot Off the Press. This one comes from the Use ’em for anything Brights, which can be found in the November 2009 Personal Shopper kit at Paper Wishes. I matted the photos with some coordinating deep blue card stock. I cut the journaling label with Spellbinders Labels 8 die.
The title area is the most elaborate part on this whole page. I used Spellbinders Ribbon Tag Trio 2 to cut the blue ribbon slide you see here. I used an oval die to cut out the white card stock where I stamped San Diego with Lawn Fawn’s Jessie’s ABC’s. I used some old crepe ribbon ( I think that’s what these are called). It was the perfect blue for this layout and slipped that through the ribbon slide and that was pretty much it.
I hope you enjoyed today’s project. Thanks for stopping by!
