Romantic Valentine Card

Hi all,

I love making cute and whimsical Valentine’s Day cards.  They are so easy and fun to make especially with so many great products out there to choose from.  But some of us would also like something more elegant and romantic, dare I say, a bit more “grown up”, if you know what I mean.  So today’s card is an attempt at just that.

For these kinds of cards the best focal image is an intricate heart design.  In this case I turned to the wonderful dazzle stickers from Hot Off the Press.

These stickers have both “outies” and “innies”, the outies are the outline part of the sticker, but when you use that up you have all these little bits that you can still use, which is what i used here.  You can use a transfer sheet, rub these bits onto the transfer sheet, and then rub it back onto the paper you want to use.  It’s a bit of a process, but oh so worth it.

For the sentiment I turned to my trusty Hero Arts Valentine’s Sayings stamp set.  The dazzle sheets also bring smaller stickers like those two little silver hearts, which I used to embellish the sentiment a bit.

I hope you enjoyed today’s project.  Thanks for stopping by!
