Remembering Winter on a Hot June Day
It is a humid day in Connecticut today. One way to invite cooler thoughts is to scrapbook winter photos during the summer months. I decided to scrapbook some of my winter photos from this past season, which was quite a snowy one in the Northeast, using this sketch from Let’s Scrap.
And here’s the page I made inspired by this sketch.
After much searching through my stash of papers I found the Busy Scrappers Vintage Papers from Paper Wishes, which I haven’t used in a while. The great thing about this collection is that it includes alphabet tiles and cut-outs to embellish your page. For instance in this page, the envelope and journaling card, the alphabets and small tag I used for the title, and the little squares on point along the bottom of the page, are all from the collection.
I really like how all the flourishes that are in the design of the paper go well with the winter theme. These photos capture the wintry weather we had this winter season. We had snow storms throughout January and February which added an extra week to the school year because of all the snow days. While at the time it wasn’t much fun digging ourselves out constantly, when remembered through photos, I do have to admit, it also made for some beautiful images.
Thanks for stopping by!
