Mother's Day Yellow Flowers Card
I have another Mother’s Day to share with you today featuring a favorite technique, paper piecing.
Coloring your stamped images is all the rage right now, especially with there being so many different mediums to color with, such as copics, zig clear color brush pens, prima pencils, or the many multiple water colors that are now out there. But sometimes the best technique to use is an oldie but goodie, like paper piecing, like I did in this card. I started out with some Neenah Solar White card stock. I used my Corner Chomper to curve the two bottom corners. I added a strip of patterned paper on which I used the Fiskars border punch to create the scallops.
The flowers come from the Sweet Roses stamp set from My Favorite Things. This is a great way to use your scraps of paper. I just stamped the images onto the yellow and green patterned papers and fussy cut them out. I created the stems by just free hand cutting two strips of green patterned paper. The sentiment was stamped with black ink and also comes in the same stamp set.
I hope you enjoyed today’s project. Thanks so much for stopping by!
