Merry Christmas Owl Card
Today I have more of a whimsical kind of Christmas card, which are fun and easy to create with Lawn Fawn stamps.
I think I’ve said before that Lawn Fawn is one of my favorite stamp companies. Their stamps are not just fun but really high quality. The papers I’m using from older ones from my stash. Now even though I have a bunch of holiday themed stamp sets from Lawn Fawn I used non-holiday stamps to create this card.
The tree, owl, and log come from the Critters in the Forest stamp set. I paper pieced the tree and used copics to color in the log and owl. Lawn Fawn also has coordinating dies for this set, which I used to cut out these pieces. The cute Santa hat comes from the Hats Off to You stamp set. This little hat can turn any of the Lawn Fawn critters into a festive holiday critter.
The holiday lights come from the Cozy Christmas stamp set. And yes I did paper piece each one of those little lights. The finishing touches on the card like the star and the sentiment come from Hero Arts. The star is from a much older Hero Arts set, whose name unfortunately I don’t have nor have I been able to find it online. The sentiment comes from the Holiday Sayings set. The sentiment doesn’t come stacked like this. I just performed a bit of stamp surgery, cut the words apart, and stacked them so that I could have the Merry and the Christmas on top of each other.
I hope you enjoyed today’s project. Thanks so much for stopping by!
