Masculine Happy Birthday
Hi all,
Here’s some birthday inspiration for the men in your life. I was very pleased with how this card came out.

For this card I used patterned papers from the Earth’s Palette collection from Hot Off the Press, another one of those oldies but goodies in my collection.

For the focal I used the Guiding Light set by Gina K. Designs. This set is great for all sorts of nautical themed cards, which is a great theme for masculine cards. I stamped the image with Memento Rich Cocoa ink and added a copper brad in the center. I used some antique linen distress ink to tone down the stark whiteness of the white card stock. I used my circle nestabilities dies from Spellbinders to cut out the focal and the brown paper behind it.

For the sentiment I used the Essential Messages set from Hero Arts. I stamped it with the same brown ink on white card stock and used the antique linen again to tone down the white to match the focal image. Finally I added the brown fiber (not exactly ribbon, but it’s not twine or embroidery thread either, not sure what to call it). I love the texture that it adds to this card.
Thanks for stopping by today!
