Let's Party & Celebrate You Card

Hi all,

Ok, so I’m a bit behind in my Simon Says Stamp kits.  I keep purchasing the new one when it comes out, of course, but other things come up and I don’t get to play with the kit until later in the month.  Today’s card is a birthday card that I created using the April kit!

I love how fun and bright this card turned out.  I started out with the white card stock and used pink and blue inks from Mama Elephant to create the background.

Then I stamped that large sentiment with black ink right over the inked area.  The sentiment comes in the Big Birthday Wishes stamp set which was included in the kit.  I love this set.  The sentiments are awesome!

Finally, the kit also included some washi tape which I used to create the candles.  I stamped the flames of the candles, which are also included in the stamp set, with some Delicata Golden Glitzink.  I love how thick and shimmery this ink is.
