Lawnscaping Challenge #35: Patterned Paper

Happy Sunday everyone,

Today I’m playing along with the next Lawnscaping Challenge, using patterned paper.  Easy peasy.  I decided to use the Happily Ever After set from Lawn Fawn, since it was already out on my desk.

Here’s my submission for the Challenge.

Paper piecing the dress was so much fun.  I love turning my patterned paper into outfits, don’t you?  I used this soft cream swirl patterned paper.  I then added a sheer piece of ribbon around the waist, for some texture.  I also had the lacy ribbon on the background in my stash so I decided to use it as a backdrop to the focal image.

Finally, for the sentiment I chose “wishing you a happily ever after,” from the set.  I just love that sentiment.  I stamped it on white card stock and then used my spellbinder dies to cut it out.

I used one of the dies from the Ribbon Tag Trio Two set because I thought at first I wanted to thread ribbon through the sentiment.  But not enough of the ribbon showed after I threaded it, so I cut out the ends and just kept  the rectangular shape.

I used the die as a template to ink the center with some Antique Linen Distress Ink.  I added two self-adhesive gold nail heads on either side of the sentiment for a bit of bling and called it done.

What do ya think?  Thanks so much for stopping by!
