Lawn Fawn CHA 2013 Catalog Challenge

Hi All,

This week  I have some different posts and might even post more often.    Lawn Fawn is having a challenge asking crafters to submit card creations they might just use for CHA 2013 for their catalog and as part of their booth exhibit.  I’ve never entered anything like this before, so I’m excited to give it a try.  There were a number of limitations, my most challenging one, no patterned paper!!! I never realized just how dependent I am on that patterned paper.  But I welcomed the challenge.  Below is entry #1.  I’ll have to write a separate post for each entry.  So far I have two entries completed.  So hold on for entry #2 coming tomorrow.

For this card I used the deer and snow flakes from Critters in the Snow.  I created a background on the craft card stock with clear embossing powder.  For the scene I stamped and embossed the snow flakes with white embossing powder, then used Stormy Sky Distress ink to create a night snowy sky.  I stamped the reindeer, colored him in with copics, cut him out, and added him on with some foam adhesive.  Does he look like he’s flying across the sky?  That’s the look I was going for.  What do you think?  For the sentiment I used Jessie’s ABC’s.

I really hope Kelly Marie and the rest of the Lawn Fawn crew like these.  But even if they don’t make it to CHA, I’m still really happy with the results and enjoyed challenging myself to create without patterned paper.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
