Labor Day Quickie Project
Hi All,
I hope you’ve all had a terrific Labor Day! I’ve taken advantage of this long weekend to catch up on some household chores and projects. I’m exhausted but feel so much better now that I have better organized closets and drawers. So this explains why there was no Scrapbook Sunday yesterday. However, I did want to share with you this quickie project, a party invitation.

Next weekend is my daughter’s 12th birthday! Which is part of the reason why I’ve also been frantically cleaning the house this weekend. There will be 6 tween girls sleeping over next Saturday night. Of course I had to create some cute party invitations. When I showed my daughter the adorable little Penny Black hedgehog, he immediately became the star of her party invitations this year.

This project is very easy to make. I created 5 party invitations with two sheets from an old Cricut 6×12 Celebrations pad. I no longer have the Cricut, but I still have two of these paper pads. I then stamped the hedgehog from Party Time stamp set from Penny Black in Memento Rich Cocoa. I added the sentiment from the same stamp set inside the balloon. I didn’t color the image to keep it simple and quick. I cut the image into the label shape with the Spellbinders Labels 4. I then used the label die as a template to create the orange label frame mat for each piece. Finally, I rounded the corners with a corner rounder punch. Like I said easy peasy and ready to be distributed at school tomorrow morning.
Thanks for stopping by!
