Hedgehog Birthday Card
Today’s card features one of my favorite images from Penny Black, the cute little hedgehog.
Isn’t he adorable? This was one of those cards that for some reason gave me a hard time. I knew I wanted to use those two pieces of patterned paper, which by the way come from the Ultimate Christmas Card kit. But I just could not figure out the right layout. This is what I finally settled on. What do you think?
I stamped the hedgehog, which comes from Penny Black’s Party Time stamp set, on white card stock and colored him in using copics. I then cut him out and glued him onto the patterned paper with some foam adhesive. The sentiment comes from my handy dandy Birthday Sentiments set from My Sentiments Exactly. It’s an older set, but boy do I get use out of it. For some added interest I added the red jewel dazzles from Hot Off The Press and finished it off with the corner chomper to round the two bottom corners.
Such a simple card took so much time, but alas that’s how it goes some times in the craft room, doesn’t it? I hope you enjoyed today’s project. Thanks so much for stopping by!
