Happy Hanukkah Card
Today I have a Hanukkah card to share with you using a Lawn Fawn oldie but goodie.
I’ve been really wanting to create cards without patterned paper, even though I love patterned paper and its hard to resist. However, whenever I make a card without patterned paper I feel there’s something missing on the background. So when I created this card I particularly liked how the ink splatters create a nice background for the images. I started out with In the Navy card stock from Gina K. Designs, a beautiful dark blue card stock.
For the images I used Lawn Fawn’s Happy Hanukkah stamp set. I stamped the menorah multiple times and colored in the candle flames with a yellow topic marker. I stamped the sentiment from the same set onto white card stock and backed it with the same kind of card stock. I then smooshed a bit of blue pigment ink onto my acrylic block, mixed in a bit of water with a brush, and flicked the ink onto the card stock. It created the perfect splatters and it made the card look less plain to me. Finally I added some blue enamel dots from my stash.
I hope you enjoyed today’s project. Thanks so much for stopping by!
