Happy Fall Y'all
Well I can’t resist any longer. It’s time to bring out the fall cards. Even though summer doesn’t technically end until the third week in September, the start of a new school year always is the unofficial start of the fall season for me. So here is the first fall card for this year.
One of my favorite things about the fall season is the colors, all those beautiful warm tones. This card is using all Gina K. Designs goodies. The card base was made with tan leather card stock. The color is sort of a kraft color but it also has this great texture to it. The pattern paper is a left over strip from an older Stamp TV kit called Falling For You.
The scarecrow image comes from the Autumn Beauty stamp set from Gina K. Designs. I used pencils and Gamsol to color in the image. I love the softer look of coloring pencils. I used Spellbinders ovals and scalloped oval dies. I stamped the sentiment right onto the card base and added some ribbon for some texture.
I hope you enjoyed today’s project. Thanks so much for stopping by!
