With October just around the corner it is time to start playing with Halloween products. Here’s one of the first cards I’ve made for the season this year.
This card was inspired by a layout challenge at the StampTV site. I still had a few papers left from Paperwishes’ Halloween Finished in a Flash Kit. These kits are great because not only do they bring gorgeous papers but you also get die-cuts and an assortment of embellishments like brads and ribbons.
The beautiful focal image comes from Gina K. Designs Happy Haunting stamp set. I just love that image of the house with the moon on the background. I added some shimmer to the full moon using Sakura Stardust Clear pen. These pens add the shimmer of glitter without the mess. Very easy to use. I cut out the image and the background black scalloped circle using Spellbinder Nestabilities circle and scalloped circles dies with my Cuttlebug, my new best friend.
Here’s a close up of the moon where you can see more of the shimmer. Hope you enjoyed and thanks for stopping by!
