Free For All Friday Challenge: Christmas Distressed
Hi all,
I finally had some time this week to create something for one of the StampTV challenges. This is my submission for the Free For All Friday Challenge-Christmas Distressed.

For this card I pulled some card stock and papers from my stash. For the image however, I turned to an older Gina K. stamp set, but still a gorgeous one, Light of the Season.

I bought this stamp set last year actually, but had not inked up this particular image. Isn’t it beautiful? I colored the image in with copic markers. To create the yellow glow from the candles I used YR23, and then went over it with the colorless blender, creating lines from the center of the flame out towards the end of the circles. Following the glow effect, I used antique linen distress ink over the whole piece. I used Spellbinders Circles and Scalloped Circle dies to cut out the image and the green card stock mat.

For the sentiment I turned to last year’s Wishing You Joy Stamp set. I used Memento Tuxedo Black ink and a Fiskars scalloped edge punch to create the scalloped border. For some bling I added the three gold pearls.
I hope you enjoyed today’s project. Thanks for stopping by!
