FMS #92: Wedding Card
Today I got a chance to play along with this week’s sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches. I’ve been making wedding cards this week so that’s what I did for the challenge. Here’s the sketch we had to use. Love that curvy line in the center.
Here’s my take on the sketch. I used Gina K. Design’s Black Onyx card stock for the card base. The pattern paper comes from My Mind’s Eye Breeze 6×6 pad. I free handed the curvy line with a pencil and then cut it out and inked the edge.
My favorite part of this card is that focal image. Don’t you just love that ring! The image comes from Lawn Fawn’s Happily Ever After set. I stamped it using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. To color it I used Smooch Silver Fox ink. If you haven’t used smooch ink you have to try it. It’s a pearlized ink that comes in an adorable little bottle that looks like a nail polish bottle. It was the perfect silver and the right shine for the ring. For the diamond I used Silver Stickles. I just love how it shines.
I stamped the sentiment which comes from the same stamp set onto white card stock and cut it out into the flag shape using Taylored Expressions Banner Stacklets 1 die set.
I hope you enjoyed today’s project. Thanks so much for stopping by!
