Flantastic Friend Valentine Card
I have a fun Valentine’s day card perfect for a friend.
When I saw the new Sweet Friends stamp set from Lawn Fawn and saw that it included an image of a flan, well I knew I had to have it. In case you don’t know what a flan is, it’s a delicious custard-y dessert popular among Puerto Ricans and Cubans. This link will teach you the basics about it. For today’s card I started out with Red Velvet card stock for the base from Gina K. The patterned papers come from the Be Mine 6×6 pad collection by Pebbles.
For the focal area I created the two hearts with two new die sets from Lawn Fawn, the Lacy Heart stackable and the Outside In Stitched Heart Stackables. Together these two make wonderful Valentine hearts. The flan image was stamped and colored in with copics. I added some glossy accents to the caramel part of the flan. I loved adding the cute face and arms and legs to the image. The sentiment was stamped with a combo of black and red inks. The stamped hearts are the finishing touch to the sentiment. Of course I had to add a bit of shimmer to those as well.
I hope you enjoyed today’s project as much as I enjoyed making it. Thanks so much for stopping by!
