Feminine Birthday Card
I hope you all had a wonderful holiday and are still enjoying the last remaining days of 2012. Now that the holiday card season is over I’m trying to get back to those year round occasions in my card making. With all the shopping and cards we send this time of year, it can be easy to forget or just be too tired, to send out birthday cards for those January birthdays. So it’s a good idea to have some in stock, ones like this beauty.
All the papers for this card come from My Mind’s Eye 6×6 Lost & Found: Madison Avenue pad. Some of the papers have beautiful corner images like this mannequin. They can easily become focal images for your card as I did here.
I used Spellbinders nestabilities circle and scalloped circle dies with my Cuttlebug to cut the focal and light pink mat. I inked all the edges with Memento Rich Cocoa and a sponge dauber. Ever since I discovered sponge daubers I use nothing else to ink up the edges of my projects. I love the soft blended look you can create with them.
For the sentiment I used Tiny Words & Images from Hot Off The Press. This is a very versatile set with all sorts of tiny sentiments that you can use all year round.
I hope you enjoyed today’s project. Thanks so much for stopping by!
