Father's Day Canoe Card

Of the many Father’s Day card I created this season, this one is one of my favorites.

I love the focal silhouette image of two figures on a canoe.  It’s the perfect card for those Dad’s who love to canoe or kayak or anything outdoorsy.  The image comes from an old book of cut-out images from Paper Wishes.  Adding to the outdoorsy feel are the Great Outdoors Dazzle stickers.  I used the border in the set and one of the little pine cones as an embellishment on the tag.  These dazzles are great for masculine cards.

For the sentiment I used the Hero Arts Happy Dad’s Day set.  The papers are from my stash of Paper Wishes papers.  So talk about using your stash!  I can’t even remember the names of these collections.  But the great thing about a simple layout like this one is that you can use any papers you have on hand to create a similar effect.
