Father's Day Beaver Card
The challenge of making Father’s Day cards sometimes is that they are cards for men! In the card making world there is a lot said about how hard it is to make cards for men. Perhaps because it limits some of our go to embellishments that are of the flowery and glittery variety. But an additional challenge for Father’s Day is making cards not only from adults to adults, but from kids to adults. Here’s one card that is perfect for a little one to hand out to their daddy on Father’s Day.
Isn’t that beaver just adorable? I fuzzy cut him from DCWV’s Green Stack. All of the patterned papers also come from this pad. It’s such a great collection of papers. I’ve had these for a while and still have so many sheets left. They’re the kind of papers that just never run out of style. I added the beaver to some cream cards stock, punched with a circle punch, and then matted the whole piece with a scalloped circle piece of brown card stock. I then stamped the sentiment on some more card stock. For additional interest I used a scalloped border bunch on some bright green scrap pieces of card stock and added those as well for a pop of green. Now you tell me, what Daddy wouldn’t love receiving an adorable card like this from their little one?
