Elegant Halloween Wishes Card

Hi all,

It’s hard to believe that October starts next week!  So you know what that means.  Halloween card time!

Today’s card is pretty simple yet still impressive, if I do say so myself.  And the trick to that is choosing papers that have fabulous designs.  For this card I used papers from an older collection from DCWV called Ghosts & Goblins.  It’s one of their mat stacks, which are smaller  4.5 x 6.5 size paper pads, which I find perfect for creating cards.

That bottom piece of striped paper has some gloss to those darker black areas, so embellishing this card can stay pretty simple when the paper itself is kind of embellished already.  I added the back ribbon and then added a piece of the cute orange polkadot ribbon knotted.  I stamped the sentiment right onto that great bright orange piece of patterned paper with black ink.  The sentiment comes from a great Hero Arts set called Happy Halloween.  It’s full of all sorts of Halloween sentiments.  I added the two little black pearls and that was it!

If you’d like to see more of my Halloween cards for this season visit the Halloween section of my Etsy shop.  And then don’t forget to come back to the blog to read the story behind the cards.

I hope you enjoyed today’s project.  Thanks so much for stopping by!
