Butterfly Graduation Card

Graduations are emotional events because the graduates are celebrating the culmination of a four year long transformation from who they were as freshmen to who they become by their senior year.  So a butterfly on a graduation card is the perfect embellishment.

So I’ve been going through my stash of scraps, which I try to keep organized in files by color, and the result has been a number of monochromatic cards like this green one.  The butterfly stamp I used comes from Hero Arts’ Antique Engravings Stamp Set.  I love the butterfly images on this stamp set.

The tag comes from a very old sheet of sticker tags that was part of my “green scraps” folder.  The sentiment comes from a G Studios small stamp set which includes the sentiment and an image of a diploma.  These are cling stamps which are relatively new to G Studios and are quite good.  I’ve tried acrylic stamps from G Studios before with mixed results.  They are such a bargain though that it’s hard to resist them.  But these clings are very good and the images come out nice and crisp.

Thanks for stopping by!
