Breast Cancer Awareness Month Card

Hi all,

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  So in honor of this very important month I created this card with a message of encouragement for all of those who have been affected by this disease.

For this card I used  the Strength & Hope stamp set from Gina K. Designs.  It’s a beautiful set with encouraging sentiments and beautiful images. The card stock and patterned paper are from last year’s Falling for You StampTV kit.  I was determined to use up what I had left from that kit before moving on to this year’s fall themed kit from StampTV.

One of my favorite images in this set is this butterfly with the ribbon as the body.  I used copic markers to color the butterfly.  I used Spellbinders Labels Sixteen die to cut the tan leather card stock out and inked the edges with Memento Rich Cocoa ink.  I then stamped the sentiment with the same ink color then popped the butterfly on top.  The pink ribbon brings some more of the pink in and adds some texture.

Let’s use this month to remember those who that have been lost, encourage those that are fighting, and celebrate the many survivors who each day give us all hope that we can beat this disease.

I hope you enjoyed today’s project.  Thanks for stopping by!
