Birthday Sailboat Card
Today I have a summer masculine birthday card to share. I’ll be heading out to California next week on vacation so I’m definitely in the summer mood. I’ll be gone for a couple of weeks so I won’t be posting then.
I started out with papers from my stash. These papers were left over from a Hunkydory kit which typically come with nice thick patterned card stock papers with either gold or silver foiling. The foil look is very in right now, but for those of us that haven’t gotten into all the foiling techniques yet, using foiled patterned papers is a great way to get the look without all of the work.
For the focal I cut out a tag using my Tag You’re It dies from Lawn Fawn out of Neenah Solar White card stock. I then used Simon Says Stamp Sailing stamp set to stamp the sail boat, the waves, and the clouds. I used copics to color in the boat and some distress ink to color in the waves. I stamped the sentiment from the Happy Days sentiment set from Clearly Besotted with black ink. Finally I added some twine to the top of the tag for that nice finishing touch.
I hope you enjoyed today’s project. Thanks so much for stopping by and I’ll see you in a couple of weeks!
