Multiple Bikinis Card

by egarcia on August 10, 2017

Hi all,

Here’s the last of the summer cards for this year.  I loved the sentiment I used on this card when I saw it on the stamp set it comes from and I just had to create a card for it.

I started out with that fun and colorful patterned paper from the Summer Dreams collection from Echo Park.

I used my stitched rectangle dies to die-cut the rectangle panel.  Then I stamped the three bikinis and colored them in with my copics.  The images and funny sentiment come from the Sea You Soon stamp set by Simon Says stamp.

The final touch was adding some Wink of Stella because of course you need your bikinis to be shimmery and shiny!

I hope you enjoyed today’s project.  All summer themed cards are now on sale at the Doodleshop, 15% off. Click here to find out more.

Summer Hello Bikini Card

by egarcia on August 8, 2017

Hi all,

I just returned from 10 wonderful vacations days in Colorado, which is why it’s been kind of quiet here on the blog.  But I am now rested and rejuvenated and ready to get back to some crafting.  As the summer weeks begin to wind down I thought I’d share the last of the summer cards this week before starting to share Fall projects.

It’s not too late to send a summer Hello.  This card began with that gorgeous sun ray patterned paper from the Summer Dreams collection from Echo Park.

For the focal area I used the bikini die from Simon Says Stamp and cut out the bikini from patterned paper.  The sentiment comes from the Sea You Soon stamp set also from Simon Says Stamp.  The finishing touch was some clear confetti.

I hope you enjoyed today’s project.  Thanks so much for stopping by!

Love You More Than Ice Cream Card

by egarcia on July 18, 2017

Hi all,

I hope you are having a cooler day than I am.  No better way to keep cool on a hot muggy day like today than with an ice cream.

I started out with some Audrey Blue card stock from Simon Says Stamp for the card base.  The patterned paper comes from Echo Parks Summer Dreams collection.

For the focal image I used the Ice Cream Dreams stamp set also from Simon Says Stamp.  I colored in the image with my copic markers and added a bit of wink of stella for some shimmer.  I used my stitched circle dies to cut the circle panel.  The sentiment comes from the same stamp set and was stamped with black ink into the strip of white card stock.  The finishing touch were some pink enamel dots from my stash.

I hope you enjoyed today’s project.  Thanks so much for stopping by!

Mermazing Card

by egarcia on July 13, 2017

Hi all,

Today I have a fun mermaid card to share with you.

The fun colorful patterned paper comes from the Summer Dreams paper pad from Echo Park.

For the focal I used images from the Mermazing stamp set released not too long ago by My Favorite Things.  I just love the mermaids in this set.  The oval panel was inked with distress inks and I stamped the cluster of fish images with the same ink.  Finally I stamped the sentiment that comes from the same stamp set.  To embellish the images I added some Wink of Stella to parts of the mermaid image.

I hope you enjoyed today’s project.  Thanks so much for stopping by!

Summer Bear Card

by egarcia on July 11, 2017

Hi all,

Well we are definitely in the middle of summer. It is a hot and humid, my goodness! So it’s time to roll out some summer cards.

I started out with Simon Says Stamp Sunshine card stock for the card base, a nice bright color perfect for summer.  The patterned paper comes from the Summer Dreams 6×6 paper pad by Echo Park. Such a great collection of summer papers.

I love that bear wearing a bathing suit, it just cracks me up!  The image and sentiments come from the Summertime Animals stamp set by Simon Says Stamp.  I stamped the bear and colored him in with my comics.  I stamped the first part of the sentiment directly onto the patterned paper and the second part onto a strip of white card stock.  The final touch was adding some of the Moonshine Confetti.

I hope you enjoyed today’s project.  Thanks so much for stopping by!
