Winter Wishes Card

by egarcia on January 9, 2018

Hi all,

I hope the start of your 2018 has been a good one.  I spent the first week sick, yuck!  I’m so glad to finally be able to get the blog year started.  I also survived the bombogenesis mother of all snow storms and frigid temperatures we had here in New England last week.  So clearly a winter card is in order.

I love how cozy that snowman looks in his hat and scarf, don’t you?  The cute coordinating patterned paper comes from an older Doodlebug collection called Polar Pals.  I added a scalloped edged strip of card stock next to the patterned paper.

For the focal I used the Snowman from Lawn Fawn’s Making Frosty Friends.  It’s a pretty old set, but those snowmen images are timeless.  I also love the hat and scarf images included in the set, which are the perfect size for paper piecing which is what I did here.  The great big sentiment comes from the Hand Lettered Winter Wishes set from Simon Says Stamp.  I think the two sets pair pretty well together.

I hope you enjoyed today’s project.  Thanks so much for stopping by!

Ornament Gift Tags

by egarcia on December 20, 2017

Hi all,

Are you ready for the holiday weekend?  I’m certainly not. But I guess I still have a few days to get myself ready.  Anyhow, today I have a set of holiday tags to share with you, perfect finishing touch for your gift wrapping.

I used Lawn Fawn’s Tag You’re It die set to die cut the tags from white card stock.  The ornament image and sentiment come from the Decorative Ornaments set by Simon Says Stamp.  To finish of the tags I used some red and white twine.

Of course no gift tag is complete without a To and From stamped on the back.  I used the stamps from the Trim the Tree set by My Favorite Things.

I hope you enjoyed today’s project.  Thanks so much for stopping by!

Foxy Santa Gift Card Holder

by egarcia on December 7, 2017

Hi all,

Another gift card holder to share with you today made with Lawn Fawn’s Small Stitched Envelope die.

For the gift card holder I used paper from the Perfectly Plaid Christmas collection from Lawn Fawn.  For the main image, I used my favorite fox from the Into the Woods set also from Lawn Fawn.  The Santa hat comes from the Hats Off To You set.  I colored the images with copies and used my shimmer pen to add shimmer to the Santa hat.

For the sentiment I used the Winter Gifts set and my Versafine Onyx ink, a great black ink for sentiments.

I hope you enjoyed today’s project.  Thanks so much for stopping by1

Mermaid Christmas Gift Card Holder

by egarcia on December 6, 2017

Hi all,

I’ve been on a gift card holder kick lately.  So I have a cute one to share with you that’s perfect for all those mermaid lovers on your Christmas list.

I used the Lawn Fawn Small Stitched Envelope die to create the gift card holder with some older Lawn Fawn patterned paper.

The mermaid image comes from Lawn Fawn’s Mermaid For You stamp set.  I colored her in with my copics and die-cut the image with the coordinating die. The little Santa hat is from the Happy Howlidays set. The sentiment comes from Lawn Fawn’s Winter Gifts  Stamp set.  And just like that you have a cute little gift card holder.

I hope you enjoyed today’s project.  Thanks so much for stopping by!
