Lawnscaping Challenge #82: Distress Mania

by egarcia on May 25, 2014

Hi all,

It’s been a long time since I’ve played with along with the Lawnscaping Challenge.  So today’s card is my entry for that challenge, all about distressing.

IMG_1457I’ve been starting to get into the whole water coloring technique recently.  So I thought I’d play with my distress inks and some water for this challenge.  The papers for this one come from the Beach Boardwalk 6×6 pad by Carta Bella.

IMG_1459For the water coloring I used Picked Raspberry, Stormy sky and Spiced Marmalade Distress inks and used water to soften and blend those inks together on the water color paper.  The images come from the Float My Boat stamp set by lawn Fawn.  I paper pieced the sails with coordinating paper.  The sentiment also comes from the same set.  I used partial inking to separate the “you float” from the “my boat” part of the set. It’s all one line on the stamp, but I wanted the words to stack as they do here.  I used Memento Tuxedo Black Luxe ink for the sentiment.

I hope you enjoyed today’s project.  Thanks so much for stopping by!
